A Butter Bell (or butter crock) is a two-piece ceramic container inspired by French design, designed to keep butter soft, spreadable, and fresh on thecountertop for up to 30 days without refrigeration.
The Butter Bell uses a water-seal mechanism to prevent spoilage, keeping butter at a perfect, soft consistency.
To use, you'll put about 1/2" of water in the base of the base (wider piece). Fill the smaller piece with butter when it is room temperature. Place the smaller piece into the larger piece to create the water seal.
